Let’s Take A Trip

Umhlanga Ocean Charters is equipped with perfect ocean cruising charters which are capable of easy sailing across Durban Shores.

Our Charters include a 7.2m hard-nose rubber duck fitted with 2X 85HP Yamaha motors to ensure that we are safe and sound out on the water. Our Vessels are also correctly kitted with life jackets and medical kits. Our crew is capable of performing first aid in-case of a medical emergency.

Our voyages are suitable for fun family experiences such as children’s birthday parties, newlyweds, corporate team building groups and of course pensioners day trips. Unfortunately, due to safety regulations, we are unable to transport children under the age of 5 years but we can confirm that kids over 5 have had BOAT loads of fun on our trips and often leave with a new love for the sea.

We offer 1 – 2 Hour Boat Trips which feature beautiful panoramic views of Durban’s Coastal Skyline, the opportunity to view a range of seabirds and of course marine life which is often encountered close to the shore, and near surrounding ships. Marine sightings are not a guarantee however, we do have good sightings all year round and our skipper will certainly do whatever it takes to ensure that your trip is both exciting and memorable.

Departure times will vary according to the weather, and we will do our best to take your own itinerary into consideration when planning your sea voyage.
